YOUTH FLY FISHING CAMPS

OUR MISSION

Who We Serve

Our main goal is to serve Indigenous and Hispanic youth from underserved communities in New Mexico. We want to uplift these youth and provide them with a positive path to holistic healing and inspire them with traditional knowledge. We are working to craft the next generation of leaders.

Do I need to know how to fish?

No knowledge of fly fishing experience is needed and the camp will provide all gear/food for the participants.

How can I support the program?

You can support the program by becoming a sponsor, donating, or contacting us for more information.

Our mission is to educate Indigenous/Hispanic youth about their culture, language, conservation, and cultural landscape through outdoor education, while also addressing the economic, social, environmental, and health issues that face our communities.

How Long Are the Tours?

Tours can vary in length from a day to multiday camps or outings. Please contact us to craft a unique camp or educational event for your community. Don't the have money to fund an outing? Look at our grant writing services in the Community Services tab.

What's included?

This is an all-inclusive camp that will educate the children about their culture, history, and language through the skill of fly fishing, while being guided by Indigenous and Hispanic mentors. All events will take place on local northern New Mexico waters.

What else do you offer?

We don't just offer community fly fishing camps but can craft a custom event or program for you. This can start anywhere from talks from various professionals, traditional knowledge discussions, presentations, fly tying classes, or other community events that you would like to craft.

Why have a camp?

We are here to inspire youth through interweaving traditional knowledge with outdoor education to inspire them to achieve a positive path in life. Through our program we build confident leaders that are grounded in their culture, traditions, and their landscape. We strongly believe in healing through the outdoors, in community, and through traditional knowledge.
