Grant Writing Services

Our grant writing and reporting services are a growing demand among our program partners. We will assist schools, non-profits, tribes, and political subdivisions of the state with finding grants for their program, working with our partner to write a grant, create a program, draft budgets, implement the grant, and assist with grant reporting. In practice, an entity will reach out to us about hiring us to assist on traditional education programming, outdoor education, creating curriculum, and other programs but do not have the funding to hire us and may not have the capacity to go after grants on their own. In these situations, we kick start our grant writing services. In our usual scenario, we will find the perfect grant opportunity, co-create the programming, assist with writing the grant, get the grant, implement the grant, and conduct grant reporting. These services are built into the grant budget and we are only compensated when we obtain the grant.

Educational Services

We offer community education services that range from being out on the landscape to in the classroom. Out in the field services include: fly fishing camps, story telling walks, site visits to traditional sites or infrastructure, walks on the landscape to educate youth about their cultural landscape, and many more activities. In the classroom services include: fly tying courses, presentations (on cultural sites, systems, stories, traditional agricultural techniques, histories, fly fishing, ecosystems, how to read the water, and other traditional knowledge concepts), courses based on traditional knowledge or the ecosystem, decolonizing your curriculum, building out your outdoor experiential education curriculum, and many other educational services. We are here to offer your community an experience that is grounded in our culture, traditions, ecosystems, and histories that have sustained our people for thousands of generations.

Traditional Knowledge Services for Indigenous/Hispanic Youth

We offer a range of traditional knowledge services from interweaving fly fishing with ethnobotany, story telling, knowledge of the cultural landscape, history, and bringing in community elders into our programs for centering our outings. We offer class room visits and out on the landscape walks to educate our youth of our landscape and of the systems that have sustained our communities for time immemorial. We love to craft the perfect program with you for your community.

Community Fundraising Services

We offer community fundraising services that help to build community programming, youth education programs, traditional knowledge curriculum, and other activities that help to support a program, service, or community event. In many cases, this fundraising is done to help support the program that we are a partner on. For instance, if we partner with a non-profit or school to implement an outdoor education program for underserved youth, we will help with outreach to donors, organize raffles, and create a plan to fund the program. This money is usually used to pay for equipment, travel, and to pay for our services for the actual event. Our community fundraising services are almost always partnered with our grant writing services to meet the full amount needed to implement a program.

Community Event
Planning Services

Community event planning is exciting but can be a heavy lift! We will assist communities and our partners with planning for community events. Typically, we will get hired to plan a community event that is based around traditional education, outdoor education, healing through the outdoors, fly fishing, and similar topics. We will help to plan the event, set up for the event, secure the proper permits, and implement the event. We love to work to bring the community together!
